Cape Split Boat Tour

  • Duration 2 hours
  • Group size 4–8
  • Difficulty easy
  • Season May to October

Feel the rush of the tides at the base of Cape Split, where 300-foot basalt cliffs preserve lava flows that erupted 200 million years ago — a landmark most people only ever see from the trail above.

Feel the rush of the tides as you take in incredible views of Cape Split, a Bay of Fundy landmark and iconic hiking destination, from the water.

The sheer cliffs of Cape Split are untouched, 300 feet high, and preserve lava flows that erupted over 200 million years ago. The views paired with seabirds flying overhead will have you convinced that you have stepped back in time. We stop at stunning locations for photographs, including at the base of Cape Split where you may get to say “hi” to hikers above.

If the tides align, you will see the tidal rifts forming near the split. On the way back, you get a full tour of Spencers Island from the water — a significant geosite within the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark.
